APD - Apparently it's ok to be a dick

I apologize for the crassness. Preston, a friend of Fat Asian Baby, had a run-in last night with the Atlanta police, who found a way to arrest him for having a problem with one of the cops parking in a handicapped parking spot AND blocking the access ramp. All so he could go get a cup of coffee with a bunch of other cops. Just guess - guess! - whose side the other cops are on. Shitheads, assholes, dicks, all of them, including the supervisor who was called to the scene.

This is NOT acceptable. What can we do to publicize this further?

I know this guy from college, assuming he's the same Preston I recognize who's confined to a wheelchair and I still see about town occasionally. He's been quite an advocate for rights of the physically impaired for years now, once parking himself in front of a UGA transit bus in Athens due to the fact that the wheelchair lift on the bus had malfunctioned and wasn't in working condition (probably around '96-97 or so). I don't recall/know whether he was arrested as a result of that altercation, however, or if anything else came of it.

Absolutely appalling! I have a friend in town who is a disability rights advocate. I don't know if her group can do anything about arrests and such, but I'll be happy to ask. I'll get back to you when I hear something.

more likely than not it's the very same preston.

Yeah, I assumed so. I actually know his last name as well, but figured I wouldn't mention it out of respect for privacy.

Call a news station, reporters love those kinds of stories...
